Yamunotri: The first Chardham (Going from left to right, as is traditionally stipulated), is one of the most revered temples in Uttarakhand, India. Yamunotri is the source of the sacred river Yamuna that originates from the glacial lake of Saptrishi kund, at an altitude of 4,421Meters. Dedicated to capricious goddess Yamuna. This ancient temple has been a pilgrimage for centuries. starting at Haridwar, the journey takes the pilgrim through some of the most beautiful panoramas, and eventually, on the 12km arduous trek from Hanuman Chatti. That is not merely visually and physically stimulating but spiritually uplifting.
Gangotri: Ganga, India’s most sacred river is inextricably linked to our past, present, and future; It is the very essence of our cycle of life and death. the journey to its source is to reinforce those systems of belief that have been held sacred by our ancestors for centuries. The pilgrimage begins at Haridwar, an ancient holy town, and leads the traveler through majestic vistas, stunning valleys, and beautiful meadows to eventually end at the holy temple of Gangotri. All through the journey, it is the glimpses of the Ganga in all its moods – playful, placid and turbulent – that inspire the pilgrim to continue this journey towards spiritual salvation.
Kedarnath: Set in the beautiful Mandakini valley, cupped by lofty peaks, the majestic Kedarnath temple stands on a glacial terrace, remnant of an ancient glacier – long since melted. this is lord shiv’s territory – and the region is a living testimony to his adventures and exploits. The temple is believed to have been built by the Pandava’s, protagonists of the Mahabharat, as a tribute to lord shiv having forgiven them for fratricide after an exciting chase through the himalaya’s. The journey to Kedarnath – The most significant of the 12 Jyotirlinga’s located in different parts of Uttarakhand, India - is to relive these ancient tales and legends, and to become one with God.
Itinirary Highlights
Morning meets our driver at Dehradun Airport/Railway Station/your pickup point, and then we will drive towards Barkot via Mussoorie/Vikas Nagar. On reach check in into the hotel, after refreshed have dinner and overnight stay at Barkot.
Today early morning, we will proceed for Jankichatti/Phoolchatti, on reach there, start your trek from here to Yamunotri (6km) (Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at your own cost). After taking a bath in JamunabaiKund's warm water and having Darshan of Yamunaji return to Jankichatti by trek. Later drive towards Syanachatti/Barkot, on reach hotel, after refreshed have dinner and overnight stay at Barkot. Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again. At Yamunotri, one can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the Tapt Kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to DivyaShila.
Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel then drive towards Uttarkashi. On route visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi. Later proceed to hotel, on reach check in into hotel, after refreshed have dinner and overnight stay at Uttarkashi. Uttarkashi: is home to a number of ashrams, temples. The name of the town reflects its similarity to and location (as north of) the city of Kashi (Varanasi). Similar to Varanasi, town of Uttarkashi is also situated on the banks of River Ganga. Vishwanath Temple: Vishwanath temple is one of the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India. Re-constructed in 1857 by Maharani Khaneti Devi of Tehri State in the ancient architectural style. It is situated at the heart of the town. A massive iron trident, symbolic of divine mother’s, is erected and worshiped from time immemorial at the temple complex. Ganesh Ji, Sakshi Gopal, Markandeya Rishi’s small shrines are also part of the temple complex. Akhand Jyoti as well as Akhand Abhishek, special aarti at morning and evening are offered. As per Skunda Puran, Uttarkashi is known as ‘Saumya Varanasi’, the abode of Lord Shiva in Kaliyuga and counted as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.
Today early morning, we will drive towards Gangotri, enroute at Gangnani take a holy dip in Garam Kund, further drive to Gangotri via beautiful Harsil Valley. Harsil is famous for its nature beauty and for the majestic views of the deodar trees and mountains. On arrival at Shree Gangotri Temple, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform pooja and darshan, after that relax for some time in the lovely surroundings. Later drive back to Uttarkashi. On reach hotel after refreshed have dinner and overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Morning after breakfast, check out from hotel then drive towards Guptkashi/Phata via Ghanshali. Enroute you can see the beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara. The Mandakini River comes from the Kedarnath. later drive to hotel, on reach check in into the hotel, after refreshed have dinner & overnight stay at Guptkashi/Phata.
Today morning after breakfast, our driver will drop you at Sonprayag then you have to take local jeep for Gourikund & then your trek starts for Kedarnath ji. Reach Kedarnath Ji Mandir, attend Bhajan Sandhya in Kedarnath Ji and overnight stay at Kedarnath. Gouri Kund: Local tradition claims that Gouri Kund is the spot where Gouri Lived while carrying out practices and it was here that shiva finally admitted his love for her. check inn into hotel and overnight stay in Kedarnath. By Heli: Morning after breakfast, then we will drive towards Guptkashi/ Phata/ Sirsi helipad as per your pre-booked tickets. Then we will proceed for flying to Kedarnath via Heli, on reach Kedarnath helipad, then process to Kedarnath Temple, after perform Pooja, Darshan of Baba Kedarnath Ji, attend evening arti of Baba Kedarnath Ji Arti at Kedarnath Temple, and overnight stay at Kedarnath.
Today morning we will darshan of Baba Kedar ji and then process to back Sonprayag by Trek. Meet our driver at Sonprayag. Later drive to Phata/Guptkashi, after refreshed have dinner and overnight stay at Phata/ Guptkashi. By Heli: Today morning, Darshan of Baba Kedar ji, perform Pooja and then process to back Phata/Sirsi/ Guptkashi helipad. Meet our driver at Helipad, later drive towards Guptkashi. On reach hotel, after refreshed have dinner and overnight stay at Guptkashi. Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the belly at Madhyamaheshwar and his locks (hair) with head at Kalpeshwar. Kedarnath and the four above-mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar.
This is the last day of your tour. Today morning after breakfast, check out from hotel then we will drive towards Dehradun via Srinagar, on route visit Rudraprayag Sangam and Devprayag Sangam. Later drive to Dehradun for drops with sweet memories.
